My friend will matriculate at a college in London, where she will enroll in an MBA program. She will go there this autumn, and she’ll stay there over a year. Last year, my other friend had also moved to London, and he is now working there with his wife. I don’t know why my friends go to that city one after another. Maybe some invisible fortune surrounds their network. Anyway, I hope she has a good time and makes good friends in London.

It’s summer time!
Hot days have been continuing in Japan, and this hot atmosphere makes me really sweat.
I have to change my shirt frequently.
So I bought some new T-shirts in this season.
This picture is one of them.
I’m sure you can see some characters are printed on the front of shrit.
These are characters of “ONE PIECE”, which is a famous Japanese MANGA and ANIME.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Piece

ONE PIECE is a really popular MANGA among Japanese young people.
The latest comic book had printed over three millions volumes.
This series is translated and printed in over 30 languages, so you might have read this series before.
I love ONE PIECE.
I couldn’t have read recent comic books, but a few weeks ago I read them.
I love this T-shirt, of course!

By the way, Anapanman is very famous among Japanese children.
Aapan-man is as popular as Mickey Mouse.
Anyway, we could have a really happy time with special dishes!

Last month, I went to the Ube, Yamagchi prefecture, where my wife was born.
Yamaguchi prefecture is located at western part of Japan.
I went to Ube almost every year.
In that city, there is a beautiful place named “Tokiwa park”.
Tokiwa park has a large lake called “Tokiwa-ko”.
I took some photos and movies with my iPhone4.
Please check them if you have a minute.

Now it’s the midst of World Cup!
Are you watching this largest sporting event in the world?
I’m watching television everyday to check the games.
I know there are various nationalities and everyone is cheering for their national team.
Sometimes this event invokes some troubles within disparate nations’ people, but I wish we would support our teams with gentle hearts and we’d talk about the game peacefully.

I often go shopping with my family.
A few weeks ago, I went shopping as usual, hearing that a new big super market had opened near my town.
I bought some house utensils and food as usual, took care of my child as usual and ate some ice cream with wife as usual.
The shopping ended as usual, except for a really beautiful sunset.
We headed up to the roof parking to load the things we bought, and accidentally saw this sunset.
It was really beautiful, the purple and blue sky was melted into one color, and the sunset red was fading out minute by minute.
It was a really wonderful time at an ordinary parking space.
I was also happy I saw this sunset with my family.

I had watched a recorded television program named “seismic situation of mass media” a few weeks ago.
As everyone knows, many newspaper companies in the U.S. have been going bankrupt yearly.
The same can be said for Japanese mass media.
According tostatical data, Japanese mass media companies are gradually losing both their profit and users.
Of course, this is influenced by internet media.
I’m now investigating this situation for personally.

Last Sunday, my family and I went strawberry picking.
It’s an annual event of my family, every February or March we go to strawberry picking.
The Sunday was a very cold and rainy day, but we had a lot of fun with yummy strawberries.
Although I was busy taking pictures, I didn’t forget to eat strawberries!

The old custom of Japan, “Hina-matsuri”(ひな祭り) day will come.
March 3rd is the day, and a lot of Japanese families, especially which have female children, display the antique type dolls.
The photo is a such kind of dolls.
We call them “Hina-Ningyo” (means hinadolls).
A kind of stage event is not held.
This festival is held at each house, and they usually display dolls, drink a sake, eat sweet snacks, and pray their children to grow up healthy.
The beginning of the event is not clarified, but it is said the custom seemed to occur about 1000 years ago.

My office is locatd next to the university.
This week, I saw many high school students who try to take an entrance examination.
They are eager to check their reference book even when they are walking.
Go for it, challenger!
